OSU SUMMER WOODWIND INSTITUTE
June 17-20, 2015 Stillwater, OK
Share your summer musical experience with other students and study with the OSU woodwind faculty!
Oklahoma State University is proud to host the fourth Summer Woodwind Institute. This chamber music camp and instrumental seminar will jump-start your summer music experience by providing performance opportunities as well as masterclasses and clinics with professional teachers and performers.
Throughout the week, students will participate in technique classes, masterclasses, chamber music rehearsals, specialty topic clinics, and a final recital. Specialty topics will include performance preparation, practice techniques, breathing/stretching/relaxation techniques, and job prospects for musicians.
The OSU Woodwind Institute is geared toward music students in grades 8-12 as of Spring 2015, who play flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone. Students will have a broad range of educational and performance opportunities during the 4-day camp held on the OSU-Stillwater campus.
Exceptional music students in grades 6 and 7 as of Spring 2015 will be considered through an audition process. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
FINAL CONCERT: Please join us for the final student concert on Saturday June 20th at 2:30 PM. Students will perform chamber music that they learned and rehearsed during the camp.
